Stop trolling... This is a big pickup by UCLA since they have alot of seniors this year. It's sort of like 2-3 years ago at the start of their 07-08 season after the 07 Bruins graduated. And last time I checked, Bruins have had a winning record against USC and Stanford for the last 3 seasons and are still the pac 10 champs year after year while stanford is always third, feddie.

In the Class of 2010, these two are both top 10 blue chips players on tennisrecruiting.net. CT has been playing and dominating forever and DK has hit his stride over the past few years. Both are So Cal boys, I guess they wanted to stay close to home. Good luck to both of them...UCLA is great school!

How did they do in the Junior Slams ?? did they reach the semis of any of them ? I have not seen their names in any of the late stage draw in the slams this year.....

Yes, and the Wimbledon result was still a junior slam, because he was still age eligible for the junior slams.

Yes and they were robbed of their championship by USC. Bad calls everywhere in that Alex Clayton match against Farah. If Stanford won that dual match, they would have gone on to win the NCAA team title. :???::evil:

Hugh? How hugh are they?

Seriously, UCLA will be very tough this spring. I see Stanford as an excellent team that finishes 3rd in the Pac-10. UCLA will probably field 3 good seniors (Abid, Brooklyn, and Kallim Stewart) and 3 good juniors (Seguso, Meister, Inbar) in their top 6.

The recruiting class is good for the future, but there will be a lot of rebuilding to do in the near future with an old team this year. UCLA needs to get everyone healthy (big problem in recent years) and make their run this year.

Most of the guys who are playing in the junior slams seemed to have already turned pro. Sounds like good pick ups from UCLA. Ohio State has turned itself into a power by keeping the Ohio kids in state.

Britton got to the finals of the US Open Jrs in September 2008 and then joined Ole Miss in January 2009 and went on to win the NCAA title in May. he could have played the US Open Jrs in Sept 2009 but skipped them, presumably because he was given a WC into the men's main draw.

PAC 10 players who played the Jr Slams: Klahn, Clayton, Thatcher and Kandath. Klahn played US Open, Australian Open and Wimbeldon, don't know about the French. Clayton played at least the US Open. Thatcher and Kandath only the US Open. Forgot Thatcher's results but Kandath got to the doubles semis this year with Jack Sock. For USC--new recruit Ray Sarmiento made the quarters in singles at the US Open and probably played the French and Wimbledon too. Daniel Nguyen and JT Sundling got a WC into the US Open mens draw. For UCLA, Kosakowski should have gotten a WC into US Open qualies; he is as good or better than some of the guys who did get that. Any others? This is just off the top of my head.

Let's not forget that USC still got the best player in California. Yeah, UCLA probably has the best recruiting class right now, but Duke and Michigan are right on their heels, and a lot depends on where Domijan goes, if Sandgren goes, and which international players go where.

Just saw Daniel K. play yesterday, last time I saw him was this summer, looks stronger, faster, and has grown. This past summer when I saw him, he really wasn't hitting that hard, (coming over the ball) now he is hitting trough the ball and hitting it much harder. He is hitting his serve harder just like his older brother.
With his improved game now, he should be one of the top players in college.

Scary good lineup below. and that isn't even the best lineup we can put up. Denis Lin will prove to be the hidden gem. He will win some key matches at #6 spot during the season.

Maybe that lineup is scary to Hawaii, but not for top 10 teams. Klahn is better than Clayton, so you're right this isn't the best lineup that you can put out. It still pales in comparison to UVa with Uriguen or UT with Tennys Sandgren, and I'd give both USC and UCLA slight edges.

And Stanford doesn't even have a top 5 recruiting class in California right now.

What matches are these? Practice matches? That video is from 2008. Based on this year's results, Klahn is indeed a better player, though both of them would play no higher than 3rd for USC.

Also, I like Kandath, but he's no future pro, and he would not be playing any higher for USC or UCLA than he does at Stanford.

Clayton still has the slight edge over Klahn. but i do have to admit Bradley has improved 100 % over last year. As Coach Whit saids, Bradley has the ability to raise his level when he needs it. Also with Kandath and Denis Lin on the roster, Stanford will win the Pac-10 this year for sure. Just remember that Denis was a dominant force in So Cal last year...:)
