Man, to list em all, I'd be insane to try, just from when I started keeping the ticket stubs it's in the hundreds. So, some of the best based on spectacle, stage presence and musicianship:

Arena shows:

Janes Addiction, Rage Against the Machine, NIN....in that order the best large scale shows I have ever seen.

Small Club shows:

Sunny Day Real Estate is right up there, Rancid in the early days, My Morning Jacket blowing away the band they opened for, Buju Banton, Paul Westerberg.

Dive bar shows:
The French Kicks and The Walkmen

DLK, old? No way, I'm just getting started! You've got some cool bands on your list for sure.

I love music "out of the mainstream" in general, but especially rock and roll, from hard rock to alternative rock and classic rock.

They need more REAL rock and roll bands these days!

From the 90's, I do wish I could have seen certain other bands live though like Nirvana, Guns and Roses, Depeche Mode in their prime, the Smiths, Cure, and New Order, but always seemed to miss them when they came through where I was living at the time.

This reminds me of seeing the Joe Jackson Band about 5 years ago in tiny venue in London!

It was the first time they had played together in over 20 years. The atmosphere at the gig was just amazing:)

And this reminded me of other gigs where original bands reformed. Atmoshere is like no other gigs (I've been to thousands of gigs). Stand-out ones were:-
Stiff Little Fingers in 1987
Only Ones in 2007
Television in 2005

Loads of others, can't remember them now!

East Hampton? Damn, that's closer to my old stomping grounds of Hartford and New Haven than where I currently live. But yeah, it's in the middle of nowhere.

You probably drive past my house every time literally, as I live some 20 yards from the Merritt Parkway-Hutchinson River Parkway connection and you can see my house from the road. That is, unless, you take 95, which is overrated because it's always congested.

PS...How many Nick are there here in TW from Fairfield county? You the same one from Greenwich or is that a different "Nick"?

There's two of us, I think. NickH is from Wilton (or that's where I think he's from; he's seen me there because I play at Wilton HS in the summers), and NickC (me!) is from G-Town. Fairfield County has a strong representation on these boards.

And i also think we should have a moments silence for Astoria. Sad times

On top of all of those, I've been lucky to see Jimmy Page & John Paul Jones in concert, and Brian May and Roger Taylor aswell, both amazing.

Nice. Looks like we are spending our money on some same acts. Marilyn Manson gives shivers to the tightwad conservatives but his visual and auditory display is at best seen live.

Once GA tickets topped $20, I stopped going. I don't know how kids afford these $60 - $300+ tickets.

They don't, their parents do.

Marshredder, I'm jealous. Radiohead & Foo Fighters. They once interviewed Nirvana & asked them who their favorite band was, of course they said Radiohead.

After a Kenny Loggins show we went to a hotel to party with him. He was in the indoor swimming pool. Me, my wife and her nice looking blonde girlfriend went out to the pool and my wife and I didn't want to stay cause we didn't have swimsuits. When we were on our way out the blonde says that she's staying cause she talked to Kenny and he invited her to swim and spend the night. She didn't have a swimsuit either. HA!!!

I think I went to both a No-Nukes and a Simon and Garfunkel concert in Central Park, but a bit of blur now...

These are all on my wishlist. Iron Maiden is coming this summer. Not sure I can convince my wife to make that one. But if Journey comes, she's all over it.

I bet Triumph was pretty solid live. I always thought they were underrated/appreciated.

Latest show: Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza in Raleigh, NC

Favorite Show: Bad Luck 13 Riot Extravaganza (richmond, VA)... love it when shows get shut down 2 songs into a set for obvious reasons, people get hurt for silly reasons, fecal matter is thrown all over the place, and riots ensue!!! Too funny....

Scariest Show: Cannibal Corpse W/ Napalm Death in DC... fun but very scary for a 14 YOs first show.

Silliest Show: Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton USO show... yeah, guilty pleasures of 2002-2004.

Want to see: Lady Gaga.... yeah, guilty pleasure of 2009-current... and Meshuggah.

Notible fests I've Attended:
Warped Tour
VA Hardcore and Metal Festival
Posi-core Fest
Ozzfest
MacRock

Seen quite a few shows, but not many in the last 2 years or so.... probably a hand full.

Enjoy your DMB, folks!

I've seen a few hundred acts, but out of all of them, these are by far the best...

Prince (saw him 3 times, each time phenomenal)
Rage Against the Machine
Justice
Radiohead (Saw them at a private gig, I was about 2 feet away from Johnny Greenwood, his tech told me to be careful not to knock his pedals :D)
Faith No More
Them Crooked Vultures
Motorhead
Foals
Bloc Party
Florence and the Machine

On top of all of those, I've been lucky to see Jimmy Page & John Paul Jones in concert, and Brian May and Roger Taylor aswell, both amazing.

I would kill to see some of these bands, shredder (my wife won't shut up about the last three).... did you see faith no more on their small comeback tour or before they broke up?

Widespread Panic
Gov't Mule
Bob Dylan
Greg Allman Band
Guns n Roses
Metallica
Faith No More
Old Crow Medicine Show
Dash Rip Rock
Johnny Cash
Steppenwolf (John Kay)

I think I'm missing some, but that's a decent list.
