View Full Version : Alu Power Spin: what tension to use? Balls flying long!

I recently bought my Dunlop 4D 300 racket that came strung with synthetic gut likely at 55lbs.

Played with it for a good 10 hours before i decided to change since it lacked feel but overall i was hilting good to my surprise.

Decided to change to Alu spin strung at 55 lbs and uh-oh right away did not enjoy at all the feel.

I hardly noticed much difference to my shots .. maybe a tad more spin.

But when i go for shots, they sail long. im adjusting my strokes and forcing to hold back and brushing up more.

So far i have played with it for about 5 hours.

what you guys think ?

to add, a friend told me to try a looser to help on the long ball issue?

i thought i should go higher for my control?

You can flatten out your strokes, since Federer AND Nadal go below 50.
OR, you can break those shifting strings in one week, then string it up around 62, and maybe break your elbow or wrists... I hope not..:shock:j
AluSpin maybe 59 is close.
I suspect that would work just peachy on my Aero and Mfil 200's also.
