I am currently trying Tecnifibre X one Biphase 18guage. I was curious if anyone has found anything better than that. It plays great, but I am also considering
trying 18 guage Tecnifibre NRG2 as well. Thanks for your replies.

NRG2 and X-1 Biphase are the two best multifilament strings on the market, regardless of gauge.

I just started using the X one Biphase 18 today. Really like the bite and power.
I have it strung in a Head MG Prestige MP. If anyone has any long term experience with this string or NRG2 in 18 gauge let me know. Thanks.

I've used both in 17 gauge, as well as in 18 gauge. Both, as I stated before, are kickass strings that last a good while.

According to this link: http://www.racquetsportsindustry.com/issues/200809/200809allstrings.html , the Tecnifibre X-one 18 gauge 1.18 has the second best tension maintenance (within 24 hours of being strung) after the NRG2 16 gauge, of any multi out there. So consider starting using this string as my main string in a hybrid with Signum Pro Hyperion 1.24 crosses.

Wonder how long it will last though.......

I normally get 12-15 hours out of Babolat VS Touch 16 mains and Signum pro Hyperion crosses and 10-12 hours out of Babolat Xcel Power 16 mains and Signum Pro Hyperion crosses - with plenty of screensavers EDIT: StringSavers though :D

screensavers? lol.
a full string job of NRG2 does not last long even with string savers but what do you expect from an 18G MULTI. I tried the 18G once without the string savers and it lasted for about 4-5 hours of good hitting. Even though my KPS88 has a dense string pattern the string was just eaten up.
