Just talked to my friend who works in yale admissions office... Decisions will go live between 4:30-5:30pm tomorrow depending on how long testing the system takes.

4:30? I thought it was 5. So I guess I'll be refreshing my page half hour early.

It is the big day, good luck!!

Guess you were right, admissions did go live around 5. I got deferred... You?

I got deferred too.

And my entire school who applied to Yale. 9 Applicants. All deferred. Crazy.

3 of my friends got into yale.

@lilxjohnny, nice!!! How'd Chicago go with you?

@dave333, I was talking to one of my friends on fb. He goes to one of those insane private schools. At his school, 7 top students applied to Yale. 7 were deferred.

Well, I'm sure we'll do fine in the regular round. We're both excellent candidates for any school, so I'm sure SOMEWHERE will take us, eh? :)

Ouch... I sent in Harvard and Princeton a little while ago, but I just got my music supplement for Princeton out today. It helps that my dad works 5 minutes from the post office in Princeton :)

I just took a look at CC's Yale SCEA thread... and a lot of people with REALLY impressive stats got deferred. There's one guy that's got a 2400, 13 5's on AP exams, worked for politicians (quite a few), and a lot of other stuff that got deferred. On the other hand, there's a farmer with 2280 sat's, no ap's, and very few extracurriculars that got accepted. Go figure :-?

And lilxjohnny, whoops, yeah, I got you mixed up with someone. Congrats on emory though!

Good choice of number Dave:)

I'm the original holder :P

Yeah college admissions...such a fickle thing it is. At my school, there were 13 applications to Brown/Yale, everyone very qualified and could've got in. Only 1 Brown, 3 deferred from Brown, and 9 deferred from Yale.
