I was using superglue to fix some lead inside my racquets handle, after finishing the first one I had a brain fart and left the open glue tube over the racquet string bed near the bottom grommets...

Two weeks later the string breaks and I proceed to cut them off and suddenly I realised the string is glued to the grommet... Pretty well glued... fu ck'ng damm well glued. Apparently the glue went inside the grommet... I don't know how but it did.

I've already tried pulling the string to the point it breaked...

Any idea how I can unstuck it?

If it's just in your grommets, the easiest thing would be to just replace the grommets...if its only in the bottom ones that is painless to do. I guess you could try something like goo-gone and an awl to push the string out/clean it, but I would just replace the grommets.

I agree. Time to replace your grommets.

thats funny, but yet i would try rubbing alcohol on a q-tip, soaking th area a couple time to loosen the glue,, good luck

The best option by far would be to replace the grommet if it is not glued to the frame, but if they are not available your will need to resort to harsh options. Acetone will disolve super glue and probably the grommet and the paint on the frame too. Could you drill out the grommet hole?

The grommets were also glued to the frame
Also since I live in Brazil I would have to import them.

Anyway my stringer managed to unstuck that dammed thing using a heated needle.

I blame it all on the strings, I swear i'll never use psgd again :)

Brned,

Try nail polish remover next time, it'll dissolve the glue.

Next time is when you need to replace the grommets, seeing as those are glued to the frame as well...

read the rules, no cursing allowed, and getting around the "censor" is a big no-no.
