View Full Version : Babolat and midsized racquets?

I normally play better with non-widebodied, smaller-headed racquets, but I noticed that Babolat doesn't make any after going down a demo list of racquet companies. I am in love with VS gut, but am not impressed by their racquet offerings. Is Babolat engineering an 18-21mm, 85-93 sq. in racquet anytime soon?

I doubt it... I think the stiff 98-100+ sqin racquets are kind of there signature.

Limited market for 18-21mm, 85-93 sq. in racquets so I doubt Babolat is considering such a frame. They already have one of the most popular racquets in the PD and several pros use it and they acutally use it; not another racquet painted to look like a PD. From a financial perspective this doesn't look like it would be a money maker.

Recently, there have been some great players stick offerings that fit the 85-93 midsize, 18-21 mm flexible category that are doing very well right now, Babolat should take notice:
Wilson n6.1 Tour90 (90 sq. in, 17mm)
Yonex RDX500 Mid (90 sq. in, 18 mm)
Head LM Prestige Mid (93 sq. in, 19mm)
Prince Tour Diablo Mid (93 sq. in, 19mm)
