View Full Version : Federer strings
is it still hybrid GUT/LUX or something new????
question is based on fact that he is not using polyethylene package for each racket any more .....just a lot of sticks in the bag without any covers!

I don't think priority one does stringing in Doha so maybe that's y he don't have any poly bags

Federer is #1 gold client of P~1 - in this case one of the "priorityrists" travel along with Roger & other gold clients
None of us are in Doha with any of the Priority One Gold Service clients. We all head down to Australia later this week.

P1 I think just travels to masters 1000s and the grand slams and I think Basel
Federer is probaly using the regular stringers like in estriol 08

Roger is using the on-site stringing service in Doha. We don't traveling to some of the smaller events with him. We have been to Doha in the past, but not this year. I actually like to be home every now and then.

I just read in Tennis Magazine that Roger is stringing his rackets at 50/47. Last I had heard it was 56/54. Any reason for the change?
His choice or reference tension varies depending on playing conditions....
...does he still go +/- 0.5 kgs around a certain reference tension among the frames in his bag depending on the playing conditions?

It's not anywhere near near that high. Tennis Mag has it approximately right, but there's always a range. 22.5kg is upper range.
Crosses are 1.5kg lower.
