Nice racquets, ericsson!

Is it known if the 255 was produced by Snauwaert for Lacoste? The individual grommets and string channel dimensions around the periphery of the head look so Snauwaert!

I recently bought a Fila "System" midsize frame (mid-1980's vintage) that is also "Made in Belgium" and has the same individual grommets and frame details as a Snauwaert Graphite Mid from the same time. Very interesting.

Thanks Retro, i know that the oldest wooden Lacoste rackets were made by Donnay OEM but the later 80's models could be made by Snauwaert, like you said Snauwaert used the same frame details too on some of their rackets, anyway i will dig in to this a little more...

About the Equijets, they were made in Belgium, Portugal and Taiwan.

Great racquets!!!!!!

If I remember correctly towards the end of Snauwaert in about 1990-91 they were producing racquets in Portugal.

That would be 85 sq. Actually this is Lacoste's answer on the pro staff original 85...

wow thay are beautiful......

The lacoste croc is just stunning, makes me feel like Im back at school showing off my latest adidas trim trab or whatever in the playground fashion wars of the 80's.

What are the weights and the beam width of the 301/2 ericsson ??

How does the peanut headshape play, bit like the pws ??

Well the weights vary, on the LT301 the weight was always on the plastic around the handle, some came in 340grams unstrung but some at 327 grams, also the balance differs. the other one i will weigh tonight...

Yes it plays a little like the original pro staff but a lot softer, very solid stick, i didnt found much difference between the 255 and the 301 so i think essentially they are the same.

What does the key in the grip do ?

What does the key in the grip do ?

Provides increased hitting power and absorbs frame vibrations.

And the bottom damper actually does work! The LT 301 is one of the most shock-free frames ever made.
If the 301 is Lacoste's equivalent of the Pro Staff 85, the 302 is the equivalent of the Pro Staff Classic 6.1 (22 mm beam, 95 sq. in. head). I've always wanted to try the 302, which could be the prettiest stick in the world, but I've never found one anywhere close to my grip size.
I know that Snauwaert has produced Lacoste frames at some point, but I was also told that Dunlop France was also involved. Dunlop France made some interesting frames in the early nineties, like a Fabrice Santoro special edition model.

Would you say it's similar to the weights on the old Donnay Pro Cynetics in the base? If I remember correctly you are also familiar with them.

When I finally get back to Lux I defo have to try and dig that out for some pics if I haven't lost the weights!

The red is 95 sq and a little easier to play due to the bigger sweetspot, more powerful too, both the 255 and the red LT 302 are very rare (in perfect condition)
The black one is a little more common IMO.

Lacoste also made a Equijet LT 303 with a bigger head size and 16x20 pattern though i never seen a picture of it, must be extremely rare.

Little Ericsson is fine and already into tennis, no wonder with all these sticks around huh ;-)

Anyway, do you have the specs for the LT 303, i though it was something like 110 sq. but i'm not sure, and what colour? i never seen one...

Thanks Equijet!

Pleased to know little Ericsson already into tennis at such age! Should see him in the pro community when he grow up! :)

The LT 303 weight 320g, the headsize 110, cross section width 25.60mm, the colour is metallic green / black and the string dense 16 x 20.

How do you know it is existed and the headsize 110 with the string dense 16 x 20 if you have never seen it before? :)

Although Equijet hasn't shown us a photo of his LT303 yet, so you never know:)

About the Equijets, they were made in Belgium, Portugal and Taiwan.

I've recently bought the 255. It wasn't made in Belgium for sure(doesn't have "Made in Belgium" written on the throat); is it possible to identify where it was made, in Portugal or in Taiwan? Its "serial number" is '0 14011'.
