Go with 1-Day Acuvue Moisture. The most comfortable and safest on the market.

I've had great luck with CIBA Dailies.

I've had great luck with Acuvue Oasys lenses - I use the 2 week disposeables, and have had only one or two tears in my lenses in the 2 years I've used the Acuvues.

I have been wearing acuvue for 15+ years and have NEVER torn one.

You must make sure your hands are super clean and that the case is always rinsed with hot water and use fresh solution.

In 15 years Ive also never had an eye infection which can be common with lens wearers.

Try to wear your lenses no more than 6 hours a day, 6 days a week and the 2 week ones should easily last a month.

Good Luck!

i'll only be wearing contacts for sport, which is probably two times a week

which is better value for me, the acuvue oasys or moist?

1 Day Acuvue Moist will be good if you wear them occasionally. You could probably get away with wearing the same pair of contacts for two days, although it is not recommended.

I wear Acuvue Oasys... I wear them everyday, from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep. Never dries out, never tears, and I can leave them on for a week and sleep with it with no problems.

Then definitely try the 1-Day Acuvue Moisture. You can wear a pair for 2 days and then toss them. Next week you put on a new pair.

I like Acuvue Oasys too. It's silicone-based and has low water content, so it's very suitable for my dry eyes. It feels very smooth and comfortable too. However, there are many reports of "allergy" to silicone contact lenses (possibly incompatible cleaning solutions), so get some trial pairs first.

Getting some good advice here. Don't forget to involve your eye doctor in the discussion. If you only prefer to use contact lenses 2 days a week daily disposables make sense, it's hard to remember when to replace a "2-week" lens if it takes 7 weeks to wear them 14 days.
