i seem to have a little pain in my shoulder... it's cleared up somewhat but i've noticed that my sleeping with my hands on my pillow seems to hurt the shoulder, or affects the healing process.
does anyone know if obusform or someone else makes large and harder pillows... i have very large shoulders (48-50 chest size and not huge fat or anything) and seem to to need a larger pillow for my head to rest naturally without using my hands to increase pillow size (i think that's what it is).
anyone know where to get a much larger pillow?

tom - Is your pillow an "orthopedic" (or "cervical") pillow? I know about those....

KK,
i have a fairly large, normal pillow... not sure what it's filled with... not down or feathers cause i have an allergy problem.
i have an obusforme hard foam pillow which i really like..... just needs to be a little bit bigger for me.... will go at lunch today and see if i can find a bigger one.
don't know if i'm the only one who puts their hands on the pillow and then head on hands..... i don't know how many people do this, cause i haven't "slept" with that many others. ... and no, i didn't start this thread, so i could throw in that lousy play on words.
basically, i need a large, structural pillow.

looked at the swedish tempur pillows........ they looked great, but very expensive.

tom - Here's a link to what I mean when I post "cervical pillow." (I'm not endorsing this one. It's just a pic which shows the basic shape well.) A cervical pillow (www.painreliever.com/obs_plspd01.html)
I have a long neck -- and a big fat head -- so I use a high density foam pillow. I tried several models over about five years. The one I like most happens to be in the low-middle price range too. (About $28.00, IIR.)

KK,
that's sort of what i'm talking about.... i'm basically looking for large size and harder foam materiall.. not sure about the engineered shape but i'm not negative on it or anything....
i have an obusforme (not sure if it's well known outside canada) and i like it but i wish it was bigger (came off the bed more).
checked out that tempur pillow and it seemed great that (the swedish astronaut pillow) but it was expensive.
biggest thing though is having it so i don't want to put my hands on top of my pillow.
