I remember seeing her and roddick in some babolat commercial a few years ago. I figured babolat thought of them as 2 up and coming stars. Since then Roddick has gone on to make a good name for himself, but what happened to Ally Baker? Never even heard of her since.

According to the ITF site she hasn't played since a year ago.

She turned pro in 2002. That year she had a WC to USOpen, and lost in 1st round.
Last year, she finished about 650th in the ranking... Yet another junior sensation lost?

She is a tall beautiful blonde from a good family.
My guess is she found a man and is beginning a life.
There is more to life than the hard hard grind of the tennis tour.

she's probably not even 20. no reason to start a family so soon

I remember reading that she has or had really problematic knees and that she might need surgery. Perhaps she is on a long hiatus or perhaps she retired...

No, her feet are literally dead. She hit a career high ranking, and both feet pretty much broke in half. She had to have both of them completely reconstructed. There was an interview with her about six months ago, and she said that she still has a contract with adidas and she hoped to get back to playing within a year. She was very talented and was starting to have good results in the ITF circuit. This isn't a case of anything else but just really bad luck with injuries...

Wow. Nice chauvanistic(it's 4 am, I can't spell) remark there paulfreda. I'm sure she's slaving away in that kitchen.

Now there is a corruption of the English language if I ever saw it. Speculating that a beautiful woman might want to begin a family rather than grind on a hot tennis court is "chauvanism" (with your added negative connotation) and not a perfectly logical and uplifting possibility.

Your words indicate that YOU view work in the kitchen and home as SLAVERY. Some housewives love giving to their family in the form of deeds. In fact, for many/most women, it may be the best and most fulfilling job there is.

She was pretty hot for a girl with so many freckles.

We're definitely from different cultures Paulfreda. Here, your remark "in fact, for many/most women, it may be the best and most fullfilling job there is" is way off base, as what gives you the authority to use "most?" I just completely disagree with your comments, and yes, I will stand behind my remark that your statement is chauvanism,
