View Full Version : FYI: Federer's AO '10 shoes

FYI: he's back to using the same custom shoes in AO this year he wore last year (see Fabfed's pics of his USO day shoes).

However, in Doha he wore most likely "retail" vapor vii's (probably still custom fit, but design is the same).

Doha earlier this year (resembles retail vapor 7s):

AO '10, match just a few days ago (resembles custom vapor 6s), the tread is different too if you look closely:

Wow look how the Lunarlite material is crumbling apart at the heel. Probably why he quit wearing them....crappy materials

I'm guessing he wears it at not-so-important tournaments to promote it, and switches back to what he's used to for the important ones i.e. slams.

I just got a pair but after seeing the Lunarlite crumble like that, I think I'll be sending them back!

omg that shoe was falling apart....
and they don't usually wear it for long......

The blue midsole on the Lunarlite tour is not made of Lunarlite, but regular phylon.
Lunarlite is encapsulated inside this phylon midsole

So what we see is poor quality phylon.
