Hi all,

Looking for a string that plays similar to Wilson NXT. I'd like to stay with a 17 or 18 gauge. I really like the soft feel and am looking for something that plays similarly. Specifically, any Alpha strings that compare well w/NXT?

Thanks for your help!

Why the change? You gotta give us some information about what you don't want or like about NXT.

There's nothing I don't like NXT (except maybe for the premature fraying). Just looking for some others to try, especially from Alpha - I'm thinking of purchasing an Alpha Revo 4000 and it comes with a $100 Alpha String package of my choice.

Thanks.

I am told Alpha SPHERE and PRODIGY are very nice multi offerings. Gut 2000 is a lower end multi but gets decent marks on this site.

Have you tried NXT Tour?

It's been said that Dunlop Max Comfort 17 is a good bang for the buck multi:

Have you tried NXT Tour?

I have NXT Tour in one of my frames. Feels very different from NXT as the Tour feels crisp to me. Not bad, just different...
