I just bought an Ncode and I strung it with Alu Power at 60 lbs because most of the people here was saying that it was too powerfull.
Now this is impossible to hit with, the sweetspot has reduced to a nut and the power is 10 (0-100).

I think Ill cut the strings off and string it at 54lbs.

Any thoughts??

I have hit with it strung exactly that way and its still had some pop. But since everyone is different and If it felt that low powered to you than try it at 54lbs w/ luxilon. Though going from 60lbs to 54lbs is a big jump it will help you narrow down your ideal tension.

I wouldn't cut it, if you are a big hitter, the string loses tension REAL fast. I don't ever pop my alu, i would lose tension and cut them.

but, can it be that the sweetspot has shrinked?? can I expand it by lowering the tension??

Hi c10, if you are used to tension around 60-62lbs on syn gut. You shouln't string Luxilon Alu Power at the same tension as you string syn.gut.

If you are not used to playing at a high tension (65 lbs and up), stringing the Lux at 60lbs will feel like a board. You will eventually hurt yourself on the elbow or shoulder.

If you totally can not play with your current setup, it is best you cut the string. And get it restring at 55lbs or 54lbs.

At 54lbs or 55lbs, the Alu Power will feel like 60lbs on syn. gut.

I have tried stringing Luxilon Alu Power at 58lbs, the result i experiece pain on mu shoulder. After reducing to 54-55lbs. It feel much better.

Hope this help!!
