I've searched but I've only found one thread, which didn't help that much.

Best ball for clay court you ask. With that question on this forum, I would not be surprised if you got a response of just about every ball out there being the worst, and from others the best, as you should get responses all over the place.
Best ball are new ones, and not dead ones, (I have opened new balls just to throw them out as dead, but that happens every so often). I am just glad that ball prices have been kept low over the years compared to everything else.

Fresh balls are (almost) all good, I know. But there are other aspects to consider. For example, a ball that lasts a week is better than a ball that goes dead after one day.

Yes, I may get a lot of different answers, but people can tell me the characteristics of the ball on clay.

1. Prince - Highest bounce and best durability
2. Technifibre - Medium bounce, decent durability
3. Wilson - Same as Technifibre. Little bit harder ball though
4. Penns - Lowest bounce and least durable

Dunlop - Roland Garros is the most I like, and we play on clay.

HEAD Championship or ATP balls are the best for clay. Wilson suck in clay but are sweet in Hardcourts.

Wilson makes a ball for the European Market that has a water repellant coating on the felt. It keeps them cleaner and doesn't allow them to get heavy with moisture. Wish they had them in the US.
