a few things:

1) Is it ok to anchor the finishing cross knot on a cross. Or should i anchor it to a main?

2) Is there any limit to the distance to the center cross that i should tie off the cross knot?

ie: with 20 crosses (in this case anchoring the cross to another cross)
would it be bad to anchor it on the 4th or even 5th cross from the bottom?
(i have it anchored to the 3rd but it is rubbing on a main. too close)

I hope I am making sense. PLEASE AND THANK YOU for your help all!

if you look up the pattern of the racquet, it should tell you which grommet to tie off, what racquet are you trying to string
?

1) Yes you can tie the final knot on the cross. It's very hard get that last cross in a main grommet and tie it off.

2) I don't think so.

Just take your time! I remember stringing my first racquets very tedious.

K6.1 Team and nBlade.

Both just say where to skip and no shared holes. nothing about tie-offs.
Both 18x20

For k6.1 team it recommends you tie off at 5T or 14B
for nBlade (i'm gonna assume 98) it says tie off crosses at 6T or 12B
here's the web http://www.klipperusa.com/stringing/viewpattern.php?mfg=TWIL

tie off for the nblade 98 is at 12T so that is correct for the cross as you have in your picture. Have you tried to use a less bulkier knot? I am guessing the one you are using is parnell?

cool knot....thanks for post, as for op, sometimes it gets tight like that, won't affect playability just looks bad, but not your fault.
