Head Flexpoint Pro meets your criteria

Hyper ProStaff 6.1 MP 95? Boy is it heavy at 12.3 oz unstrung. TW has the swing weight at 332 so maybe too heavy for what you're looking for. Sports Authority has it on sale though so won't break a bank.

I play with an RDX 500. The mid or midplus would fall near the specs you quoted. I think the midplus is a little easier to play with due to the larger head size, but the mid has a little bit better control. Both are highly control oriented though.

i think flexpoint radical tour is the closest in headsize and weight.

Though it's a smaller headsize, I believe a Slazenger X1 would also be a good choice.

Coda - Do you know how to use the "Racquet Finder" links on TW? Plug in those numbers ... click Search ... "Bingo!"

I think the lightest swingweight on a 12oz racquet is the Slaz Pro X1 @ 315 and the Dunlop HM200G @ 316?

The Wilson 6.0 95 will have a swingweight of about 316 if you replace the leather grip with a synthetic one, which reduces overall weight to about 11.8oz.

I'd suggest the dunlop 200g or 300g with lead tape at 3 and 9

Kaptain, I do know how to use the racket finder. I asked for compariative comments, didn't know I could use the racket finder to find that.

very good in all respects except one: bad on my (and my stringer's) elbow. didn't have the same experience with 6.0.

Yeah, but good luck finding one these days...

Oh well, I spoke too soon. There are a couple of RD-7's that have popped up on the FS forum, still pretty rare though.

any thoughts on the comparison between fischer's pro 1, the X1 and the 6.0 95?

I would look at the Tour 10MP Gen. II. I just switched to it from a Tour 8. It actually fits your requirements perfectly. It's on the lower end of a players stick. Pretty flexible, enough weight to hang with heavy hitters. The added heft helps with serves and stability on volleys. I would tell your buddy to give it a try. A lot of other people like the Fisher Pro 1. I didn't like it as well. I prefer a more straight beam racquet. The head seemed larger than 98sq. in. and seemed like it didn't swing as well as the Tour 10MP Gen. II. Anyway, not much of a comparison but I would just tell your buddy to demo as many racquets as he/she can and make their own decision.

Volkl Tour 10 MP Gen II

98 sq inch head,
12 oz.,
315 swingweight.

It's got a somewhat muted feel to it, almost wood-like if you like. It's my frame of choice and I can only suggest that you take it out for a spin.

Maurice

Like others have said, I think the X1 and T10GenII meet your criteria. I have both and like them both.

For me, the X1 definitely swings lighter (which I think makes it feel lighter), though the specs say they are about the same.

If I had to choose between the two for singles and doubles... I slightly prefer the T10GenII for singles and have a greater preference for the X1 for doubles.

Actually, it's 12.3 oz strung. I just weighed one strung with 16 gauge Prince syn and a dampener installed and it weighed 12.3 oz.
