I made some stencils and don't have any proper ink....
Would it effect the strings in any way?

I believe it is fine. I used to do it. It is just really time consuming

It works, it just gets your balls reallly marked up

Man - I hate the smell of the ink from sharpies

About the balls getting marked up, that pretty much happens regardless of the stencil ink, especially if you use poly strings.

true^^^^^^^
I remember my coach one time got angry at me as
i marked all of his fuzzy yellow things....then he remembered
that he was the one who strung my racket :)

JUst did it and put an OM symbol on....
3-4 minutes is way too long.....getting stencil ink!

It won't hurt your strings but as others suggested it will mark your balls (of the tennis variety.)

So, it won't last very long. Better off getting some stencil ink (which isn't permanent either but will last a lot longer than Sharpie ink)

what is an OM symbol?

It's a hindu symbol representing the sound that was made when the universe was crated

Brilliant!!
Now everytime you mess up and about to get angry u can look at the racket and you will regain peace and max concentration!

this is sharpie.....doesn't look to bad,
I think it sticks to polys better as it seems to be clinging on!

Stencil Ink always comes off of my polys after a couple hours, but it's a lot easier to apply than sharpie.

But if you want to use colors besides white, black, blue, or red than sharpie is pretty much your only option.

Yeah, I've used sharpies but the stencil ink is much easier to apply and doesn't mark up the balls as much.
