One is a PK Fusion Graphite Alloy Comp and the other one is a Spalding.
The cover on the PK was what got my attention. It says United States Olympic Training Center San Diego Grand Patron. Any meaning by that?

The first one is a Wilson K3 granny stick.

Thrift. Usually I leave the more modern rackets for any kids looking to play the game, but the cover got my attention and I decided to buy it.

we all know that thrift shops have tons of junk. Do you really need to bring it here. So far I only saw 2 racquets from you worth discussing, the "purple" Ultra FPK and the red Graphite 95.

Remember, this is "Classic Racquet Talk", not "Junk Racquet Talk". Classic doesn't mean old, vintage. It means something great, above all, above mediocre, popular in the past, top quality, desirable ... Getting the drift?

Hey Tennis Man,
If I have a stick you think is junk, but I love does it have no place here?

It is in the eye of the beholder and they, even when in disagreement, are entitled to their opinion, inquiry and questioning. If not, and we are all to be clones, why bother?

Chill dude. I was just wondering about them. If their junk their junk, no need to get all annoyed about it.

do me a favor, scroll through the thread titles .... over 90% they are about classic racquets, not "what the hell is that I found in the thrift shop that I can sell for more money?"

whatever, you are just making a fool of yourself. Maybe you need to ask TW to open "Junk Racquet Talk" and become a moderator of it.

The cover might have been bought from the Olympic training center store in San Diego. Tennis isn't a big thing over there. I think there is only about 2 courts at the center. But its one of a few train center for Olympic athletes. Thats a cool case for a racket if you are into the Olympics.
