is Vic Braden's "The Serve". I find it really has a lot of very good advice. Anybody know of any other good instruction video?

Yeah, that video really helped my wife see what pronation really is in slow motion.

Vic's video is not bad. He spends a lot of time, though, insisting that a low toss is the only way to go. It may have worked for Roscoe Tanner, but not many pros can make it work, much less club players. He also spends a lot of time insisting that a kick serve will damage your shoulder.
Nick Bolletieri's video is good. I wish he had spent some time on the different types of serves, though.
I've also seen James Jenson's service video. He does a decent good job of explaining the various types of serves, but there is a lot of filler, too. And I'll bet he says 'SNAP THE WRIST! YOU GOTTA SNAP THE WRIST!" about a hundred times, which drove me nuts. He also uses his own service motion as his primary example...and it's a kind of awkward-looking (though effective) motion to watch. Not one you would choose as something to emulate.

The commentary-free slo-mo video compilations from advancedtennis.com have helped me more than any other visual medium. Well worth the price/donation if you're a visual learner.

Which Vic Braden video are you guys talking about? I have one that he did in the early 80's and it sucked, probably the worse I have seen on the serve. I am wondering if he came out with something new.

Darn right. I got the one with Roddick, Safin, and Agassi, and feel like it has helped me a lot. The next best thing to watching them in person.

Subscribe to Tennisplayer.net. They got tons of videos on serve with close arm action. I am just a subscriber of the site and I am happy so far.

Vic had a series of six tapes; one for FH, one for BH, serve, volley, biomechanics and strategy. That is probably the one. I thought it was pretty good. But I thought he overdid the pronation part and neglected the slice and topspin techniques.
