You should provide a little more info in order to get the best answers.... What kind of racquet do you have? What kind of string is currently in it and what is it strung at? What do you like/dislike about the current stringjob?

I have been using this same hybrid for a year or so and usually string the CF mains in the low to mid 50s and the Gosen crosses 2-3 lbs higher. During the winter I went all the way down to 51#/53# and had good results. I've never played SPPP but from my understanding it is a soft poly, so you'll probably want to string the CF mains at or a few lbs below whatever you use SPPP at.

OP. I have played fairly extensively with Cyberflash 1.25/Gosen OG Sheep 17, but I don't really like the feel of Cyberflash.
Today I tried something new, Gosen as the main. Instantly got what I like about the Gosen, the feel, and what I like about the Cyberflash, the control... First 90 minute hit with the strings, but I'm going to give the combination a long look.
Bottom line: try it both ways. I think I will become hooked on synthetic gut mains and poly crosses, but it could just be a honeymoon.

I am using BAM right now, but I have CF at 60#s and my Sgut at 62#s in the cross when I use that setup.
