How durable is a 17g poly compared to a 15/15L guage nylon?

Hi, I'm thinking of trying out a Poly Hybrid for the first time, and trying to decide whether to go with a 16g or 17g poly for the mains, based on durability. So how durable is a 17g poly compared to say a 15/15L nylon?

I've used kevlar and can easily say even thin 18g mains easily last me much longer than a 15L nylon. Poly, however, I have no idea. If it is plenty durable (for example lasts 50% longer), I will go with 17g, but if it's only slightly more durable than nylon, I will go with 16g. Thanks for your help!

Is there any nylon playable up to 9-10 hours? Don't judge strings by how long it takes till they break. You've got to pay attention in the performance.

FYI polys like Lux doesn't break, while some basic poly can be broken in 3 hours... it varies.

Depends on your game style.

Babolat pro hurricane 16 /15g nylon hybrid lasted 3/4 weeks @ 3x 2hr+ sessions/week, eventually snapping on the crosses.

18 gauge kevlar only lasts me 2 weeks.

I get 10 playable sets out of 15g gosen nylon.

I'd say in general that your average 15L nylon (Prince syn gut with duraflex, for instance) will compare pretty closely in durability to a 17g european co-poly, assuming you don't have many mishits near the frame - polys are weak where they're stretched around the frame so if you miss the sweetspot you can pop it quick.
