Pretty sure I've read this before but couldn't find it in a search... Isn't the general consensus to tension 2 more lbs than normal when stringing a new racquet in order to account for the grommets not being seated?

Makes sense, but maybe 3-4 lbs increase is better, with people who don't break strings often.
Not only seating, but wear on the plastic, and compression over time and pressure.

Yes, 2 lbs. is the normal increase. Most tour stringers follow this as well.

One of my 4D300Tours was bought after, and I strung it 1lb. higher than my usual stringjob( 53/56 instead of 52/55, at that time ). I felt that the stringjob was looser than the other racquets that already had the grommets in place.

Next time I have a new racquet, I'll string it 2 or even 3lbs. higher.
