I have a combo 3800 and have no clue what makes this alpha worth two and half times more???

1. High Build Quality verses Low Build Quality
2. High QC verses Low QC
3. Eagnas machines are known problems with their electronics
4. Stellar customer service verses bad customer service
Is this enough?

I would like to see them next to each other and even take them apart for that matter.
I can't comment on the customer service, I have had mine three years but never needed to call them but lets say for the sake of argument it's not good at all.
They both have a 5 years coverage and look a whole lot alike which makes me wonder where they are made??
Not saying Eganas is the best stringer made but you could literally buy two of the 3800s and STILL have 400.00 left over.
Mine was only one pound off today which is easy to adjust but I have never done anything to it.
I will be willing to deal with whatever if and when needed for that difference.

Is that company still in business? They have rather old model machines. Looking at Some Alpha and Eagnas machines, the similarities are unremarkable. I know Alpha had a failure with Electronic models a while back and until recently started selling the Oddesy.
As for where they were made, they were both made in Taiwan, by LilyLee.
I agree, you buy two Eagnas to one Alpha most of the time. The Plus 6500 and the Alpha Apex II is a good example.
