Im a beginning tennis player, who has some skill due to the fact that I play racquetball.... Now on to the situation... I have a crappy wal-mart racquet thats quite old and junky... I would like to try Volkl racuqets... not sure why, I just do. Im having trouble deciding which racquet I should try/buy... I think something in the Catapult range (specificaly the cat3, cat4, cat6, or cat7) would be best suited to a beginner, but Im not sure which particular racquet would be more appropriate... the seven seems too harsh, and the three seems too powerful and large. So... Any suggestions?

Cat 6 and Cat 7 are pure "Tweener racquets", Cat 3 and Cat 4 are more "game improvement" oriented, so if you honnestly think that you have some skill, go with the Cat 7 or Cat 6, the Cat 6 is slighltly more maneuverable and more flexible than the Cat 7, and the Cat 7 is more stable than the Cat 6.

I say the Cat 4 Im demoing it, especially racketball players, fast moderate/long strokes :) Try the Cat 4, Im a 4.5 player just I play like a newbie :P kind of...
Give the Catapult V1 Mid and oversize a try. 8)

I demoed the Cat V1 and the Cat 10. I highly recommend you try out the V1. Good amount of power, but because of the catapult system, the racquet had pretty good control as well. You can really feel the catapult on this racquet and how the ball dwells on the stringbed for a slight second longer. Takes getting used to, but once you get the hang of it you'll really enjoy hitting with it.

Nah thats the Cat-1, the cat-V1 MP is verry similar to the Cat-4... Im not even sure as a beginner I could tell the difference..
So how are you liking the CAT4 so far?
