I cringe to pay more than $200 for any racquet. But I use them to play tennis, not collect as an investment or as objets d' art.

I sold mine for $299 in near mint ... who needs a brand new one? I'm tired of wiping dust of them. No more brand new classics for me.

^ Me too. I'm in "Use 'em, or lose 'em" mode, and I like that. Less is more.
That said, I'll have three 1980's Kneissls up for grabs pretty shortly (once I find some time to photograph and list them).

I'm also in the "if you've got it, use it" category. $700 for a racquet is more than I'd ever pay, no matter how interested I am in a stick. There are so many people in the world for whom $700 would make such a huge difference, it's kind of obscene to think about spending that kind of money on a what amounts to little more than a toy.
