Bought a Rossignol F-200 (Early Wilander model) and noticed it was ~ 1/8 shorter than my standard racquets. I did not want to take the "original appearing" grip off to see if it was purposely shortened. Did an F-200 specs search, and couldn't find anyone commenting on length of racquet.

Quick question is; is the F-200 a standard 27 " length racquet? thanks.

thanks mad dog1. Thought I had bought a "customized" racquet. Still love that solid, soft feeling F-200 though...

both my F200 & F250's are the same length. since i purchased the F250 new back in '87 or '88, i know with absolute certainty that it wasn't modified. but yeah, i agree...the F-200 is a solid yet plush stick. i hit w/ my friend's back in the 80's and i'm not sure why, but i didn't really dig it at all then. 22 yrs later, i start reading about all the great reviews here and i decide to give it a second chance & now i love it. i don't recall it playing so well back then. i obviously preferred the F250 over it since i ended up buying the 250, but now i prefer the F200 over the 250.

I think that F200 is 27" unstrung. But when you string it, the head compress a little, because it's very soft.

Thanks Kalic. When I get it restrung, I will have my stringer measure it for me.

ALL Rossignol racquets are slightly shorter than standard. It always confused me.
It has nothing to do with the stringing and it is very good idea to measure it unstrung.
So, do not try to elongate the racquet prior to stringing. It can be accomplished by over-tightening two main racquet supports on stringing machine but you would only overstress the frame.
I have tried this on Fischer Pro One 98, since ALL the Fischer's are shorter too. No matter what I did the racquet was always shorter... Racquet was mine and I didn't care much for it.
Also, I have over 15 classic racquets and some of them are shorter than standard, mostly wooden ones.
Have a nice day! :)

I have a never strung F200 that measures 26 3/4" and a strung one that measures about 1/16" less; 26 11/16" strung.

My early F200 is 26 3/4'' too!
