Anyone have experience using these 2 strings ?
Gamma Synthetic Gut Weargaurd 17 Reel
http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Gamma_Syn_Gut_WearGuard_17_White_660_Reel_/descpageACGAMMA-GSGWR17WH.html
vs
Babolat Conquest 17 Reel

I been lookin for a new cross string so I'm just asking around. What's the main difference between the 2?
Which has more spin / power / control ?
Any input is appreciated.

Conquest is the better string, but it's rather brittle and a little stiff; the Gamma string is more durable, if less playable.
This is the one I would pick, though--Babolat's newest out: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Babolat_NVY_16_660_String_Reels/descpageACBAB-BNV16R.html

Thanks for your input but I would like to stick to discussing just these 2 strings. If you start adding strings then it would stray from the original strings too much. Thanks though.

I've tried full jobs of Gamma synthetic gut with WearGuard in the 16g flavor. Never got more than 2 matches out of it.

How was it though?

It was OK, I'd rate it along the lines of PSGD. I like regular Gamma synthetic gut best. It has better feeling, is easier to string and lasts twice as long for me as the Wearguard version.

Everything said so far could lead you away from your initial picks; hope you can stand that in here, where the purpose is open comment and free discussion.

I have no experience with the Gamma, but have used Conquest 17 very happily as a cross string for a long time. Just bought a reel of it, in fact, to last me quite a while, since Conquest has been discontinued. (Bought the reel off the bay.)
What main strings are you considering using these two strings to cross?

babolat conquest has been discontinued.
That's what I thought. I played a full bed before, it was ok. I prefer the Super Fine Play over Conquest...

Super Fine Play is a livelier string than Conquest, for sure. Conquest's playability lasts considerably longer, however, is my experience.
