I hate mushy feel. I was thinking of trying biphase, but its kinda expensive, also does gauge make a difference in the string?

Gosen OG Sheep Micro plays crisp for under US$4.75. 17 gauge will be a little livelier than 16 gauge. At $4.25 Prince Syn Gut with Duraflex also plays on the crisp side. If you haven't tried Head RIP Control for $6.95, it is a must. Plays well until it breaks and better than these 20 year old synthetic gut technologies.

msv hex 1.10mm or 1.18mm, vs gut 17g.

Gosen Og sheep micro is what you want. As you said, biphase is good, but darn expsensive! :D

TW should have it. They maintain these boards so always try here first!

Biphase is pretty pricey, but I've used it quite a bit and I can tell you it is VERY "crisp" feeling. More so than natural gut.

Let me add, the durability is very poor. I broke mine in 2 hours on about 6 string jobs.

At the current exchange rate, I'd hazard a guess that you'd break even or even save money (assuming of course, you're not going to buy just ONE set of strings).

I've been looking at strings (several sets and 2 reels) recently at TW (US), TW (Europe), and 2 UK string retailers, and I actually worked out that it even with shipping, it would be cheaper to buy from TW (US) because the prices of the strings are so much cheaper there.

Surely, you're not going to buy just one packet? What are you going to do when it breaks or needs restringing due to tension loss?

Gosen OG Sheep Micro 17 has been great so far.

I've recently switched to Prince Synthetic Gut with Duraflex 17g. Too soon to tell the differences really but I do like the " feel " of PSGD compared to gosen. Also a full bed of prince plays A LOT better then a full bed of Gosen. Just my 2c.

Anyone no the difference between OG Micro Sheep Super and OG Micro Sheep

I haven't played with either yet, but the Gosen website said that the Super is a compromise of durability for comfort. I have 2 packs and I'm going to use it as a cross string.

Depending on how much power you want from a string, I would highly recomend TF Multifeel for comfort, playability, control, spin, and the most feel. I don't break strings, but according to reviews the 16g is not very durable and the 17g looks more durable. If you like pocketing and need more power, string it lower. You'll be amazed. I may stick with Multifeel 16 as a cross sting, depending on durability.
