I have just come by 2 (matched) racquets that are no longer available and which I have been seeking out for some time. Trouble is, I'm a grip size 4 using a contoured synthetic grip plus an overgrip, but the racquets are a 3 . The racquets are already 340g and several points headlight, and do not have pallets. I don't want to add another 20 grams in the handle by adding a heatshrink build-up because by time I have rebalanced the racquets they will be far too heavy for me.
It seems my alternatives are either (a) to find someone who can re-mould the grips (no idea on cost or where to do that - I live in London, England), or (b) to find a way to build-up the grips by one size using a a lightweight tape or some other product, keeping as much bevel definition as possible.
Useful tips or pointers welcomed.
Many thanks
