it's 18x20 , 7 lateral holes and different shape and beam from black, seems very interessing.

huh....interesting. You're right about the beam width, especially at the top of the hoop. It looks like the beam is a little wider at the throat like an old Wilson Profile...

I was also intrigued with the racquet Frederico Gil was using.

Could be a 18 x 20 EXO3 Black, right?

not is a exo3 black, only paintjob because the lateral/side hole are seven and the beam is thinner. also the box beam seems different

I noticed that too, the beam tapers as it moves towards the head...

Look carefully on those words on Gil's racket

2 letters - PJ. Although it may very well be a new version of the Black, most likely it is a new racquet they are yet to release or name.

What they have written on them is often different to what the racquet is - Rafter is one that comes to mind, he used a Prince painted as a Dunlop (or vice versa)...

It looks way too thin to be the current EXO3 Black / Team...

Obviously, it is still early, but the section, the number of strings and lateral holes (7 non 6),to examine carefully, leave no doubt.

In Europe the O3 Tour is 18X20...so this might be Europen model with BLACK painted on it just not to reveal too much yet to the public

Hey crism54, I just want you to understand that, he is not using a real exo3 Black, but instead a paintjob of that. He might well be using a Graphite or Rebel for that thin beam and with 7 holes.

today i saw a picture of simon greul who actually uses a prince ozone tour with his racket painted to look like a exo3 black. prince is probably doing this to get the ozone tour out of peoples mind.

but why is it prince taking so long to finally announce their exo3 tour is coming?

I just had a chance to hit 10 minutes with this racquet - EXO3 Tour. The unstrung weight was only 280 grams but I was surprised how stable the racquet played. The first impression was that it has very good control and great spin potential. Overall feeling was similar to Ozone racquets. Maybe the "metallic" look of the frame had also something to do with it.

Yeah. Actually, another poster on the board attempted to post it, but flubbed the URL. I just fixed it and reposted. So, sorry I don't know where the other user found it. I'll see if I can find where I saw it.

I was the first to speak of this frame (under black PJ), and someone did not believe me, maybe someone should apologize...

Thank god there was a 310 gram version, otherwise Prince shouldn't be referring it as "Tour".

I was the first to speak of this frame (under black PJ), and someone did not believe me, maybe someone should apologize...

Hey listen, you cannot predict anything out of that black PJ you said before. And yeah, this was just my idea before, you can ignore me if you want. The idea is to post comment and thoughts here, not to ask someone to apologize after not agreeing someone's idea. Now it turns out be a metallic orange exo3 tour.

speedport tour on a wide scale was an epic fail. sure its a good frame but you cant change the specs like they did and expect all the users of the previous models to love it. the ozone was made to rescue sales as it was a late release.

I may have given bad information in another thread a few months ago. Since the Ozone Tour is so close to the O3 Tour, I was under the impression it came out before the Speedport and then outlasted it in the marketplace. To make sure I understand: the Speedport was definitely released before the Ozone?

I'm pretty sure that's all this is. Just strung one the other day and had a good close up look. Excited for the new Eox3 tour.

My coach is sponsored by Prince and recieved two racquets to playtest today -- they were the two versions of the new EXO3 Tour.

The two versions were both exactly the same weight and balance. The ONLY difference was the string pattern. There was one 16X18 and one 18X20.

So far, I have only hit with the 16X18. My usual racquet is a KBlade Tour, so this felt very light, fast, and maneuverable. I was expecting to see a loss on control, but there was none. The biggest difference was the stiffness -- the EXO3 Tour seemed extremely flexible in comparison.

My groundstokes felt different, but I was just as comfortable with the Tour as I am with my KBlade. There was perhaps slightly more spin, but I usually hit pretty flat, so my shots stayed deep. It was more forgiving as well. The only downside was that off center hits were more brutal than they are on my KBlade.

Serves were much sharper. I was able to get more snap because the increased manuverability. This also meant more kick on my kick serve and more bite on my slice serve. It almost felt like I had more control and placement, but that may have been due to the fact that I felt more confident.

For me, this stick really shined at the net. I am accustomed to my super-stiff KBlade, so the flexibility added a level of touch I was totally impressed by. Simply superb. Sharp angles felt so natural and I was easily able to pick any ball off my shoelaces. The larger face was much more forgiving than my KBlade, and even if I was caught unprepared and framed a volley, there was still enough forgivness to get the ball over the net. There was a ton of control, too. When I wanted to really stick a volley, it was flawless. The level of manuveribility was a big help for everything I did mid court (volleys, overheads, approaches, dropshits, etc) and resulted in cleaner shots.

Overall, I was extremely impressed by the 16X18 and tomorrow I will try hitting the 18X20. I am expecting that the 18X20 will be even better for me, since my KBlade is also 18X20. Depending on my finances, I may make the switch after this is released.

Balance: 12.2 in??

Played with the 18X20 today. Honestly I was slightly disappointed...

It felt great on the net. It felt more solid, and I seemed to have more control. Sticking volleys was easy and even stab-volleys were authoritative.

However, I am not really a net player, and the benefits at the net didn't translate onto the baseline. For groundstrokes, the tighter string pattern didn't really seem to offer more control, but rather, less response. I liked the slightly more solid feel, but the frustration caused by the noticably reduced spin and court penetration was more than enough overcome the fact that I liked the feel.

Because there was less spin, there was less margin for error. Also, the reduced power introduced the need to swing harder, which actually resulted in more errors.

Maybe I am being a little harsh... They were only demo strings, and they were rather worn before I even got to touch them, but still, I was unimpressed.

The 16X18, however, continues to impress me. Everything seems easy. Its almost as if I don't even have to try to get the ball back, and when I do try, winners come relatively easy. I am definitely buying 2 of these come Janurary.
