See I have the 5.0 stretch, been using it for awhile, but I cant seem to find any and at this point Im looking for a new racquet - similar to the prostaff 5.0 in weight, power, control

do you think the tour 90 does it?

Or something else? Dont say the pure drive, cause its to powerful

bump - these two racquets are hard to compair, but they are both stiff, head light - anyone know about fischer racquets?

I have a Wilson Hyper Hammer 5.1 and a Fischer Pro Number 1. A Fischer is totally different than a anything I have ever used. The feel is amazing, but it is so hard to get power or spin. Do not a a Pro line Fischer unless you are at least a 5.0 player.

tour 90 is nothing like the hps 5.0. try the hyper hammer 6.3, pk laver type s, maybe babolat pure control plus. or you could just search classifieds/**** for it.

i cant believe none of you have suggested the good ole pro staff classic 6.1........such a stiff racquet with decent pop and power, and very venerable in what you can do with it. much better racquet than the 5.0 IMO, and if you want something a little more flexible at this point take a look at the hyper pro staff 6.1 instead.....

I'll second brijoel's opinion.

I don't really have a suggestion, but I will second Kreative's reply that the HPS 5.0 is NOTHING like the Tour 90.

I played several years ago with the Pro Staff 5.0 and now use a Fischer Pro No.1. The prostaff might be a little stiffer than the Fischer if I remember correctly, but the feel of the Wilson can in no way compare with the Fischer. All these racquets that you've mentioned are head heavy, so if you don't have such a fast swing, that might be the way to go. Like one of the posts above, the Pro No.1 as well as most any other pro line Fischer racquet, (except for the Pro Impact FT), is better suited for a player that's a 5.0 or better that can create their own pace.
It sounds to me like you're looking for a player's racquet, but that will also be as forgiving as possible. My advice is to stick to the brand that you know best and look for something there, or just try a Babolat. These last sticks aren't much in the feel department, but they have a lot of power and are forgiving.

The Wilson HyperPro Staff/Pro Staff Classic 6.1 suggestings are good. You may also want to consider the Babolat Aero Tour frames. They are quite stiff and reminded me of the HPS 5.0 when I tested them out.

just one more suggestion....maybe try the standard version of the 5.0..............?

;) i totally forgot TW was selling them again when i made my first post, lol.

i really want to try the fischer no 1 because, as i do create my own pace, and am atlest a 5.0 it would be nice to get something with more feel, anyone know how i could get my hands on one to demo out?

for fischer racquets, you probably have to go to a local shop.
