View Full Version : so NO men (notable players) actually use kBlade

The 98 was almost always pj'ed. Tsonga in 2008 and Kohlschreiber up until the new BLX 95.

Berrer has used a PS variant for as long as anyone can remember:

I want the nBlade back.. nice and flexxy! Hell yeah. Just my 2 cents

i like the blade pj though.

it compliments the small head very nicely.

any opinions?

As the blade line of rackets only go back to 06, the chances of pro players using it is unlikely as they do not like new things. The blade line of rackets serve a good purpose for players coming from Head's prestige to Wilson, it passes as a better pj than the 95's as they have PWS. Having tried extensively the ncode blade 98 and the using the K blade tour for a year there defo great sticks and I think we will see younger players actually using them in the next few years as they come through. I know a few top British juniors who use the 98.

Just the pj which is an odd choice. His string pattern is clearly 16 mains and always has been. Wilson probably wants to get the pj on as many racquets as it can with players who are willing and are on TV a bit.

Maybe not many current ATP pros but the KBlade 98 is very popular on the senior tour. Wilander (until recently it seems but he still uses it at a few events), Pernfors, Leconte (at one point last year), Flip (last year). Darren Cahill I think still uses it as well.

also as said earlier a lot of up and comers are using it

Marco Chiudinelli (Spelling?) appears to use the real nBlade, as I'm sure that if he wasn't he'd have gotten a paintjob upgrade by now.. but as for the actual Kblades, I haven't seen anyone using those.. Probably too stiff/powerful for most men, and the nblade was such a better frame anyway, why would you use the kblade over the nblade?

That is a def. no although I liked working with his frames

Dancevic uses a Kblade as well as Yani.

Michael Yani almost won his first ever tour match while using a KB 98 this week in Paris... of course he's not so notable.

Regardless of which players use this racket, pj or not, the K Blade 98 is my favorite racket.
