View Full Version : Head Ti Radical OS string tensions....help!

I just got the Head Ti Radical OS made from Austria and the original string is too bouncy not suitable to my hitting style. But the inside of the body frame of this stick does not have any indication of what range of string tension this racquet should be strung for ?? What is the ideal tension for an all-court, 4.5 player with kicker serve??.....If you guys know this data, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

P.S. already checked with racquetresearch.com....doesn't have it !!

It should be Head's tension range (50-62 pounds) for the OS

the tension range is 63 +- 5 pounds. thats what TW said when the Ti Radical was still on the site. I'm about 4.5 all courter , and i string my Ti's between 63-65 pounds. They're made in austria as well. I've been using these rackets on and off for about 4 years now, and i know that the typical 4.5 player would definately find any tension below 63 too powerful. You might want to add same weight. its a pretty light racket and loses some stability during fast paced rallys, it forces you to put so much racket speed just to keep the rally going.

I agree 63-65 with a nice multi like tnt or nrg and you should be enjoying life...

Adding weight at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock to bring the total up to 11.8 or 11.9 ounces really makes this a terrific racquet. Incidentally I string mine (Wilson Sensation 17ga) at 62 lbs and it still maintains very good control, along with the added power.
