I just bought two prostaffs from the classifieds and I noticed that one of them has an SL3 sticker and the other has an L3 sticker, is there any difference in the two rackets?

Have you tried playing with the frames? There's an existing thread about this if you click "Search."

There shouldn't be any difference. The one with the SL3 sticker is probably older. This is because years ago, a 12.2 oz. racquet was considered "Super Light". Nowadays, with racquets becoming lighter and lighter, a 12.2 oz. is now only considered "Light". You may want to put them both on a scale to double-check.

Sort of ironic in that many people now think a 12.2 oz. racquet is heavy and that a player's racquet is 11.5 oz. I guess in the grand scheme of things, Wilson still considers the 12.2 oz. PS 6.0 95 to be a "Light" racquet.

BP, have they ever changed the specs since 94?

Not that I'm aware of. However, I do have one that was probably made in the mid-90's that is marked "SL4" that is a bit lighter than all of my other ones, including one that was probably made in the late-90's that's also marked "SL4". I attribute it to normal weight variances between racquets, although I'm not exactly sure if it's within Wilson's manufacturing tolerance (it's 0.2 oz. lighter). All of my other ones marked "L4" are the same weight as the "SL4" one made in the late-90's.

I know that TW's listed specs are usually pretty accurate, how accurate are they for this racket? What's your range BP, of weights for your collection of 95's?

Most of mine come in at 12.5 oz. strung, with only overgrip and a vibration dampener. The "light" one I mentioned above is 12.3 oz. I'm thinking of selling that one just because it deviates from all of my other ones.

I've got 2 PS 6.1 classic, one which i bought in 1992 with white butt cap and doesnt state the swing index anywhere on the racquet and its a SL3. The other one from TW bought not too long ago comes with black butt cap and 6.1 stated on the side and near 11 o' clock of the frame and its a L3. I've weighed both racquets on a digital scale, both has babolat leather grips with a Pacific O dampener, SL3 weighs at 352gms strung whilst the L3 weighs at 361gms strung, guess the SL and L does make some difference in weight.
