Got nothing better to do? If I were you I would take the strings and grommets out first. You can cover up the grip with a baggie. I assume you have new grommets to put back in the racket. Good luck.

Any particular reason you chose to put this in the stringing machine thread? I would think Racquets (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=9) would have been a better choice.

I would be afraid that the grommet holes would get plugged up with paint.

You bet they will. Hummm? Are you talking about the holes in the frame that grommets go through or the holes in the grommet the strings go through? Oh heck it doesn't matter they will get 'plugged up' with paint no matter which one you are talking about.

there is soemwhere in this forum (racquets forum) a guy that posted a step-by-step guide on how to paint your racquet.

You have to sand it, remove the previous paint, etc.

Lokk it up. Its really a complete guide.

OK, it can be done. Easy. Period.

Will it affect the weight? Yes and no.

Yes, if you keep spraying to get a quarter-inch thick coating.

No, or negligible, if you do it right.

And why so many threads repeating this same subject?

Maintain 1 1/2'-2' distance from the frame and use a sweeping motion across the width of the racket. Take your time. Several light coats will look more even/smooth than if you try to do it all in one or two heavy coats.

What was wrong with the first thread you created asking this question, the one that I promtly answered?

Stringing machine thread; I don't think so.
