You know, TTW has gotten so negative lately (or always has been, I've only been here about 10 months, but I wouldn't doubt it). This is going to be an always positive thread :D Make a compliment about the user that posted before you!

SoBad is not SoBad. And that's not SoBad in some ways. Also, he seems to be less politically correct than some, and that's nice in many ways.

In sum, I think the government should ban fat ladies (as they not only consume a lot of energy and resources, but also pose incredible hazards when tripping over.)

SoBad
08-04-2010, 10:07 PM
I agree wholeheartedly. Governments of all ages across the globe have the unfortunate history of not doing enough. They should really get off their behind and start taxing and regulating people for real. There is just way too much untaxed income and unregulated behaviour in this world. I would personally welcome someone taking money away from me and telling me what to do to a far greater extent.

On topic, TheLoneWolf has written an eloquent opinion piece on dictatorships vs democracies in the “i'm too happy to read fiction” thread, which I think we can all agree is a nice thing to do. Nice and brave move, considering the surprisingly snappy nature of some of the reactions from the masters of serenity and happiness in charge of the discussion there.

Zapvor mentioned about that in another thread two month ago. I am just curious though how do you know that he has a taste of shampoo. Normally, women has a knowledge of that.

Oh, that? He sent me a bottle once while he was traveling internationally. Best shampoo I've ever used--it gave my scalp a refreshing sensation that both tickles and tingles the skin at the same time. Unfortunately, I found it empty a few months ago when I returned home from my studies elsewhere. :(

Don't believe those people Tina. I learned how dangerous they can be on my trip to Reykjavik a few years back. Be very careful if you ever hang out with Vermillion Meg and Zapvor - that trio will pull a rabbit out of a bag before you know what hit you. Have you visited Reykjavik recently? You probably know what I'm talking about.

I'm glad you cleared that up as I was wondering if he had that place in the ME in mind.

The poster above has "Fall Out" in his user name, which is a video game inspired by a really old game I used to play on the C64 called Wasteland...

...which is kinda cool, I guess.

The user above me has persuaded me to change my political views.

I'm now in favor of abortion.

This is TW and you're not allowed to have political views. And in your case abortion should be made retrospective.

The user above me has all of the virtues that I dislike.

A modest person, with much to be modest about.

Retroactive?

Okay, I'm going to compliment the two above me instead of just one.

Both have been petty and insulting without resorting to profanity.

Yes! Bartleby 'gets' irony. He really does!

Irony requires context and you've provided none, so if you don't wish to be misunderstood then pay attention to what you write.

I heard someone say you are the perfect idiot.

I disagree. There's a little room for improvement still.

If you want to have a political discussion then please do, but reciting "I heard someone say ..." attempts at cheap dinner-party put-downs retrieved from your scrap book of bile is neither interesting nor amusing.

Correct. I've provided no context ... because you and the r2473 have provided it.

Well, here's the compliment, even though "I would prefer not to."
The use above me is named for a Scrivener and is probably literate. Knows him some Herman Melville.
