View Full Version : How do you deal with recurring blisters?

I always have one particular blister on my playing hand in an annoying position between my pinkie and third finger on the palm. If i let it heal it comes back after about 10 hours on court. Ive tried using tape and special plasters but it just comes straight off as soon as i start swinging a racket. Any ointments or various methods you know that could help...thanks.

Look for racquetball gloves or the "Bionic Gloves" for tennis.

Maybe you're using a gripsize too small for your hand. When the gripsize is too small, the racquet can twist on your hands on some shots which causes a lot of friction and therefore you get blisters. Maybe you could try adding one more overgrip and see how it goes.

Don't overplay. Blister is usually the result of overplaying. Keep your hitting session to 1 1/2 hour max.
Firm up your grip. Maybe your grip is a little too loose.
