Fake K Surge?

I previously owned a KSurge before purchasing one from TW and this one has minor but different paint jobs.

For example, the one I own has a smooth matte finish while the one I purchased from TW is rough and does not look very clean at all.

Another few things I noticed was that on the sides of the racquet where the "K" is, instead of a "TM" for trademark, it is an "R"; the text "Karophite Black" is printed in is smaller than my original; the place where "WILSON.COM" located inside the throat of the racquet is in the center instead of to the side; and the "Wilson Quality" brand sticker was not in the throat next to the website name but instead is replaced with a phony looking one on the outside; and lastly, the buttcap is entirely different where there should have been a trapdoor like mechanism and says "Made in Vietnam", there is an older looking buttcap from a different line of Wilson racquets.

I purchased it from Tennis Warehouse which is why I find it weird since they're usually legit about their stuff

It's weird. I have four of them (not from auction), and they are all made in China, not in Vietnam like the one in your picture. Also, the grip size is behind the butt cap, not outside.

Maybe Wilson changes it.

Pictures of the racket on TW right now is exactly what I have. TW never sells faked, maybe just for curiosity, you can call them to verify.

It's not fake. Go to your local sports authority and dick's, they will have the same thing there. Wilson had made subtle changes on the K90 late last year as well, so the Surge is no different.

Obviously you should, none of us seem sure, so unless you want to play with a potentially fake racquet, it should be a pretty easy decision

Go to your local big box stores and examine it for yourself. And yes, they've changed from the glossy paint to flat paint...

I sell wilson racquets and the latest K62 we are getting are made in Vietnam and come with a black cover with wilson in white on it. The hologram is on the outside of the throat down near the top of the grip and is smaller. The latest K Zero have the same cover as above but are still from china. The butt caps are the same as your image so I would not worry and the source is pure as it gets.

if you still have doubts just sent it back, I think its just newer version, I don't think tennis warehouse would sell fake stuff.
