Finally strung my set of Prince NG 16 up, the one in the green packaging. Strung in a Wilson k6.1 95 16 by 18. I've now put around 5 hours on the string, and it's barely moved! These five hours have been against the guy I usually play, and we both hit pretty hard. Usually, multis and synthetic guts move all over the place after an hour or two of hitting. My previous gut setups (Wilson NG 16 mains with E-force 18 crosses and Global 16 mains with blue start 16 crosses) moved all over the place as well. I'm not sure if it's because I've strung NG in a full bed, but this stuff just doesn't really move!

Yes, it is a very nice gut. Very durable, too.

I wouldn't expect much string movement in the first few hours.

But it will begin to move with tension loss over time and the wearing down of the coating etc/

Interesting!
I had some bad experience with Prince racquets/strings. But this might be worth a try!

Isn't the new green package Prince natural gut manufactured by Babolat?

I was told by a fellow TW member that the predominantly green packaging was made by BDE (which is what Meow is speaking of) and the newer predominantly white packaging is made by Babolat.

Maybe I will string my racquet up with the "Babolat" version of Prince next.

Just look for the country of origin on the package to confirm the manufacturer. Sounds like high quality gut no matter who the supplier is.

It's manufactured in France. However, AFAIK, both BDE and Babolat have factories there.

Is BDE back? Unless something new has developed, Made In France = Babolat so far as NG is concerned.

Yes, the green package was made by BDE. The new white package is made by Babolat. I've used both and I don't notice a difference between them. Both are very durable and hold tension very well. I actually prefer PNG over any other natural gut, including VS Touch.

According to RSI, PNG is a bit stiffer (114) than VS Touch (104). Due to elbow surgery back in January, I currently hybrid PNG (mains) with Prince Syn Gut Multi (crosses). It's a nice combo for me.

Still in love with PNG?

By the way, I recently tried the PNG in the newer white packaging, seems to play the same as the older green package, at least for me. Still my favorite natural gut.

Yes, still loving it.
