Hi All,
I am not posting this shoe for sale yet but I was wondering how much I could get for the rare nadal candy cotton ballistec that was never officially viewed. Also there is a chance that I could get it signed by him so what would be the value if it was also autographed by him. The shoes have been used but are in good condition.

Hi clevy11. Do you have photos? Also what size?

If it's used, I don't see high value unless it's made for rafa.
If the shoes is retail version, since it's used, I might say $30.
If the shoes is signed by rafa, value will be more but who knows. The value is decided by buyers. No one can predict but it might be less than $300 with rafa signature. Also need to prove that the shoe is signed by rafa. Otherwise the value of shoes will not be high.

Gently used, common size? Probably get around 50 if you put them for auction.

New? Probably retail (100-120)

Signed? Who knows.

It's a size 13 and the shoe is extremely rare to get as previously stated. I will insert pictures if I get the autograph. Otherwise, I 'll just post the picture of the sneaker.

I guess it depends on your definition of rare. I'm pretty sure plenty people on this site have had opportunities to buy these shoes. I believe they even made it to the sale section on this site (brand new with warranty for 89.99). I remember seeing some online sell in an auction for like 80 brand new.

Correct, there have been opportunities to get this sneaker but it does indeed meet the criteria of rare IMO. Only a limited number of this sneaker were made and not many people own it. I was just looking for a ballpark estimate if that cotton candy sneaker was autographed.

I did not know you were talking about retail version of the shoes.
it's not really limited and you can still buy from some stores or occasionally, at bay.
since the shoes was used so it will worth between $30-50.

with rafa's autograph, I think it will be $200-400 but without authentication of signature, you might not get that much.
you have A chance to get rafa's signature.
if I were you, I will buy new shoes (like US open neon) and get the rafa's autograph.

$500- this BS about how these shoes were up for sale- $30-$89 HA these were limited run- an ice pair would fetch over $100 still- you can sell an autographed version for $500 heck a craze fan would pay $800 if the timing's right- "I jump in it"

They had them after the FO last year on this very site for 89.99. They didn't last long once discounted, but they were there.

They've been on you know where and a recent pair sold for about 78 US dollars (UK size 10, brand new in box). I would also that size would be in a bigger demand than this size.

So laugh all you want, all I'm saying is lower your expectations when trying to sell stuff, especially used stuff, because more times than not you end up getting less than you think your stuff is worth. No one is buying these things as a primary tennis shoe, but there are probably people out there like me who would buy them for fun at a certain price (and that price isn't 100 dollars used).

I agree. New pairs are going for less than $90 on the bay. I have to agree, used always knocks down the price big time, even if you wore them once, and they are pristine. As far as the autograph, as long as you can get a pic of him signing them you may be able to fetch some coin for it. Without a certficate or documentation, you probably won't get much. Too many fake autographs on the bay.

That will probably be his best (in my opinion) signature shoe, if you got it signed that would be an incredible trophy case item for your collection.

This is the one shoe I regret not buying. I tried them on at my tennis shop, and they were only 85.99 and I passed. I love this colorway and would kill (not really) for a pair.

You should do your own research in order to maximize your profit. If you don't know how to deal with collectable items, I don't think you will get much of that shoes.

I am thinking that if the authentication service fee is too high, it will not worth to do.
Nobody knows how much money people are willing to spend. You should bring someone to take a picture when you got autograph from nadal.

BTW how did you get his autograph?

I was at the US Open qualifying this week when all the pros practice and you get to watch up close for free. I used to be a ballperson there a few years ago so it's easy for me to get autographs because I know where they exit and enter from.

I find with the Bay that people put up shoes for sale/auction at ridiculous prices, get no bids, and then either disappear or relist. It's annoying because it makes other sellers think that they can get a similar high price for their shoes, which they can't either.
Recently there were a pair of Rafa match-worn autographed shoes on there for $10000. I mean, what is the point? Surely even FabFed wouldn't pay that. :)
Already there are a pair of Rafa glow-in-the-darks from the current USO for a starting price of $500, buy-it-now $700. What a joke!

Exactly. People often think what they have is worth more than it is. Just put it on **** and let the bidders take care of the price for you. If it's a nice item, in seven days you'll get your money's worth.

And they were the only decent tennis shoes in any of the shops around, but my Dad was put off because of the colours.

That explains why I saw a number of them for sale on the World's Largest Auction Site not too long ago. Like Rhino said, they were there then gone. No clue if anyone bit at the high prices. I have to admit - I thought they were an atrocity against Man when they first came out - but I would buy a pair at a reasonable price now.

OP, my $0.02: if you can be patient, they'll potentially be worth a LOT more if you wait until Rafa retires - or at least near the end of his career.

Haha sorry! Can see why people may be put off by the colours, I quite like them myself though
