For those of you that have the Neon Yellow/ Black Balliestecs (glow), do you think they are just good for looking badass as a standalone shoe or do they actualy not clash with the clothes

They are obviously going to catch peoples attention, and look ridiculous.

It's a matter of do you have the confidence to rock them?

I am wondering how many people actually wear "glow in dark" shoes......
I think the shoe is more like a collectible item since the production is less than 5000..... (I don't have actual number so I just estimated. definitely more than 250 but I don't think nike made more than 5000).

I have a regular neon CB 2.3 and plan to wear it.
BTW I might be able to get Glow version on Friday so I will let you know whether it's different or not.

i am thinking the same thing , i dont know if buy the neon C.B 2.3 or the blue and white 2.3 that he use in the season of clay , i think the blues are more normal and match with more clothes than the neon

I got a pair of the retail version. Ill be honest, when I first saw them, i wasnt really feeling them. Looking at them on the shelf, it just was a lil too out there. But i decided to try them on and I think they look better on the feet, which made me buy them. In terms of clothes, yeah they dont go with much other than nadal's us open gear, and maybe other kinds of black shorts and shirts. When wearing all black, they def stand out, but in a good way in my opinion.

what about like just black shorts and a white t

do you HAVE to wear black socks?

Yeah I think a white tee would work with black shorts and these shoes. Ive worn it with a black shirt and white shorts. As for socks, I wear no shows, so sock isnt visible. But black socks would prob look better.

I have them and people look kinda intimidated when I wear them with black nike crew socks. Other than that I only have black shorts and they look nice. The neon isn't too bad since under the cage kinda material is black mesh and stuff. Less noticeable then my FO ballistecs ;)

I wore Gold/black (shanghai) Barricade 5's with everything for a while. They never matched anything but i got lots of complements.

I'm going to be getting the neon's as soon as the price drops on them. For me, I will be only wearing the shoes for 4 or 5 months anyway.

i have the blue and green 2.3s and i get a lot of comments on them. especially: "why did u color on your sneakers?" people think i did the green to white transition. http://images.sneakernews.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/nike-air-max-courtballistec-2.3-electric-green-lava-****-2.jpg

I second that
Third that, but sneakers have become fashion accessories as well.

So, I go to watch some friends @ a local USTA sectionals tournament and had every intention to get looks and shock and awe. Let's just say, I was that chick @ the club w/the big boobs. No, I didn't have the Nadal look either, grey shorts and black tee.

Wearing modern sports shoes for non sporting purposes is so lame.I guess we can agree to disagree. I break all my shoes in by wearing them out to casual settings. Last night wore the Neons to Hooters - waitresses were digging them. But no marriage proposals... :(
