Was just wondering how much the average cost of a private tennis coach is? I've been looking around and most of them seem to be about $50 / hr.

It depends on your intentions. Do you want this guy to follow you to your tournaments and play with your 5 out of 7 days a week?

$50 is about right- if you get someone good though, then believe me-it's worth it.

$50 is about average, but make sure you do some researching on good coaches around there. you can find a really bad coach for $80 and other times a very good coach will only cost you $50.

50$ is expensive.... here in montreal I had lessons at 20$/hour and now the coach I have cost 30$/hour... but since I took 10 hours and paid all in one shot, he charged me 250$/10 hours

How would I do the research? Just ask around?

I play in an interior club, met a few coaches, found one I like and asked him if he wanted to coaches me outside.

Inside it's like 52$/hour, I negociated a price with him for the outside (when he teach inside money goes to the club who pays him like 12$/hour, when he teaches outside money goeas all in his pocket... great deal for both of us)
