how to watch the ball when hitting

when i practic with my coach, i usually hit the ball hard. however, i dont seem to watch the ball because i swing so fast. for that, i lift my chin and the ball goes sailing. i dont know how to look at the ball when hitting hard , especially backhands. please reply

Maybe don't look at the ball, just an inch ahead of it. I don't think it's really a matter of watching the ball, it's keeping your head still during contact. Watching the ball just helps you do that, because when you watch the ball during contact, your head doesn't move.

You don't really need to watch the ball go off the string. You just need to watch the ball long enough, so you can judge where the ball is heading. Remember to keep your head still when you hit the ball.
