Anyone can title a thread "Finally found a pic of me holding a trophy and sweaty" and be accurate, too.

These boards amuse me sometimes.

130 kph = 80.78 mph.

I assumed since the poster has Kentucky under his profile pic he is in the USA. And in the USA we usually use mph. 80mph is believable. 130mph is not.

3.5 doubles player? I don't know of any 3.5s that can hit 130MPH serves and who also can play "open" and win. Audience, you decide if ttwarrior1 is telling the truth or not

Nobody is proud lol. I do not need to go back and read a thread from 5 years ago. Why? Who cares if he is making stuff up. What is funny is he has his personal information posted here and he was caught. That is funny.

It's him, and I only posted it because it's public information, especially if the OP is sharing a facebook link of himself with a picture caption of his name, also with links to the "Evansville Community Tennis Association"

In fact, If you click on the facebook link in the OP's 1st post of this thread, he links to his picture, and then if you click on "Back to group", then read the Wall for "Evansville Community Tennis Association" you will see the same post.

I'm sure if you really wanted to verify and look up the person's USTA rating on tennislink you'll probably be able to find him too.

Because he admitted that he is at "350" in that pic, I may as well bluntly convey that:

No man of his... carriage... could possibly move his body efficiently and quickly enough to generate the power for a 130mph serve. If he did, he'd probably rip something internally (seriously)... Furthermore, a man like this couldn't possibly run down well-placed shots w/o risking serious injury. If the game is fast enough, then proper footwork is difficult enough even just hitting down the middle.

Perhaps he really did mean 130KPH. I'm giving the OP the benefit of doubt that he wouldn't try to convince us that he is a competitive player. Perhaps he's just showing us that he is still somewhat fit and capable despite his size, and that he is proud if his progress and his victory.

If so: Good for him. Congrats on the victory.

A 130mph claim from nearly anyone demands high-FPS video proof or similar validation. That much is obvious.

polski
10-05-2010, 02:49 AM
^^^agreed

This big of a person might be able to hit as fast as me, but no way can he put 130mph heat on it like Fed or Roddick. I am 6'3", 205 lbs and I work out 3-4 times per week for strength and flexibility. I have a fairly decent serve at a 4/4.5 level that gives me some free points. If my 1st ball is going 100-105, I would be happy.

Can't use the barns in Kentucky to play tennis in the winter. The livestock have to be in there. He's busy lifting weights to bulk up for next season. I don't care if he can hit 130 or not. At 350 it would be easy to just drop shot and lob him till he had a heart attack.

haha, 130mph?

i've watched a pretty solidly built 3.5 player serving at 115mph - 190kph.

his serve was wicked like 5.0 level, forehand 4.5, backhand 3.5, court positioning and tactics 3.0, movement 3.0, fitness 2.0.

No he is not 5.0. He is not rated because he is an "open" player and wins them. so 5.5 or 6.0 at the least. :)

ttwarrior post from 2005:

took over today as coach against another team. Our coach couldnt make the trip as he was away on a mission , since he is a minister also.
This is what i did. We were playing the top ranked team in the state. We are last if they had a rank for that.
Our #1 seed cant beat their #1 seed or even the other teams #2 seed. So i decided to make our worst player the #1 seed. I decided if their guy can beat our #1 guy without a doubt then why not just make it a cheap victory.

I put our second worst player as the #2 seed.

Yes both got beat 6-0 6-0

HERES WHERE THE FUN BEGINS.

The team, coach were were playing all thought they were gonna play our top 2 guys at 1 and 2. He confronts me and I blew him a kiss and laughed. Everyone is now in shock. I lined up my players and we all did the Ric Flair strut and said WHOOOOOO!!!!!!

I Made our best player the #3 seed, and out second best player the #4 seed and our 3rd best playe the #5 seed.

Guess what happened . We won 3 to 2. ha ha ha ha!!

I did the same thing with the girls, and in doubles .

Everyone there was fuming. The coaches , parents. We were the visiting team and there were around 200 or so there spread out .

People calling us cheaters, names and everything you can think of.

I mean the guy i had at #1 is a rookie thats only been playing like a week and cant even get it over the net sometimes if you hit it straight too him.
I mean the punk millionaire kid he was playing was like WTF.

He figured it out later when he saw our best guy beating up their #3 seed.

We've played this team every year since 1976 and havent even won ten matches total i don't think until i took over.
The players on the other team were crying , even some of the parents. They said they were gonna ban us from local tourneys. Turn us into the commissioner. I said go ahead and tell him that we kicked your teams buttocks. THE BEST TEAM WON

Okay i weigh 320 , closer to 350 actuallly and for some reason the coach challenges me to a match. Yes he is better than me but not by alot. I was pumped, motivated. WE had both teams, parents, cops. People running around everywhere. People pulling over trying to figure out what was going on.

Yes he called everyshot i hit on the line out and im like okay, dont even blink and accept it. He was acting like a wild animal during the match . So i decide to start serving to the middle so he cant call my shots out . I served like 80 percent first serve. I was having trouble with his serve so i did more drop shots . He won the 1st set 6-4. I won the second set coming back from 4-0 to win 6-4 . We then did a ten pt tie breaker. First person to 10 win by 2. He was up 9-0 and give up . I then just go for , get two aces. 9-2. I then get two winners 9-4. Still upset knowing im gonna lose. I then get two errors from him on my serve. 9-6. I then get two big time lucky winners from the tape and a miss hit. 9-8. I then get an another winner. I end up winning 24-22 . The team picks me up and carries me off the court. He slams his 300 racket down and breaks it. I mean we celebrated for like 15 minutes. We kept telling stories about the matches we played. WE couldnt stop laughing.
WE decided to to to mcdonalds but after we won we decided its time to go to Golden Corral.
GUESS WHAT HAPPENS. OTHER TEAM SHOWS UP . MORE COMING

Superslow is the way to go

If you lift super-slow, you're only really training your muscles (eg, recruiting the number of muscle fibers) to contract slowly. For tennis, you want to do fast contraction exercises, such as plyometrics. If you're gonna lift, lift for velocity, not sheer weight.

Superslow is the exact opposite of the type of weight training a tennis player should perform.

Yup, see above.

I believe he serves at 130mph... when the speed detector is broken, see, very simple explanation.

From your black shirt and black knit cap, I can only assume you've broken into someone's house to take pictures of their tennis trophies.

This was actually the funniest comment so far... LOL

To the OP, so your local league only goes to 4.0. I believe that as the guys on your clubs website that were part of the draw from the trophy you held up that are rated 3.5 as you are play 3.5 USTA. I can only assume I am correct with my research since the trophy was the HTC tourney. You are in Kentucky and in that area HTC stands for Henderson Tennis Club. A win is still a win but your 3.5 is the same as USTA 3.5. That means no 130 serves for you.

I agree. I serve at 153. 2319 MPH. I also drink mercury.

Yea I can vouch I served him the mercury. He really just loves the stuff.

Are you looking for attention again by posting old videos of you NOT serving 130mph?

Ok you are bumping old threads including one from 2005. Also you are making outrageous claims about service speed. So I have to question the motivation behind this.

Do you hate yourself and want others to make fun of you? Perhaps you are so alone and isolated that you need the attention any way you can get it.

I'm not trying to make you feel bad but you need to do something with your self. Give your life some purpose.

If you like playing tennis, perhaps join a volunteer group where you can assist disabled kids to play. That way you can feel good about yourself and maybe lose some weight.

Guys, you haven't seen the "against the wall" videos.
TTwarrior has solved the backhand problem.
He just SWITCHES HANDS.
IT appears to work. all he has to do is solve that pesky
little the ball bounces twice before he does it and he will be hailed as the greatest innovator and coach in the history of the game.....
