View Full Version : 2010 4.5 Nationals at Tuczon

Anyone here going to the 2010 4.5 Nationals at Tuczon? The matches start early Friday through Sunday (Oct. 8 - 10).

To anyone going, it would be great if you can post pictures and perhaps match results and anything else that is "newsworthy". Sort of like a news report of how the matches went. It will be cool to see friends, teammates and other people in action and know how things are going.

I did this on a different website a few years back for my wife when she went to her first nationals. I tried to describe how her team's matches went as detailed as I can. Teammates who didn't get to go, opponents and friends followed every entry I made and liked it. In the end, that team represented the section and they were all rooting for them.

I hope someone would take the time.

That would be great; I know one of the guys on the Fremont men's team - I'm hoping they will pull it out....

Who do you know from the FTC team? I'm on that team. Obviously, I posted this because I didn't go.

Is Fremont the Northern California team?

My team is playing them first today but I didn't go :(

I can tell you Texas beat NorCal 3-2 (30 players on the Norcal roster, are you kidding me!!!).

It came down to singles 3rd set TBs. Line 1 NorCal overcame a match point to win 11-9. But Texas won the TB at Line 2 to win 3-2.

I haven't checked the results but it looks like your team won the flight. Did you guys make it all the way?

BTW, yep, 30 players on the roster yet there were a couple of matches where the captain had to scramble for players. :)

Carribean team took it. They beat the team we lost two in regionals(in a tiebreak) in a 13-11 tiebreaker in which team Florida had match points. Lots of close matches and didnt really hear of any complaints about ringers.

Texas finished 3rd. All three matches in the flight were 3-2 wins w/ the last line coming down to 3rd set TB.
Finishing 3rd is pretty awesome. 3 of our top 8 guys from sectionals did not make the trip including the top 2 singles players. We had a loaded team.

Burosky do you play at Cabello at all? I know Neil and Rudy pretty well (among others on that team) and play dubs with them quite a bit
