I am mainly a baseliner who uses a fair bit of topspin on groundies and I have a fairly fast serve . I have a long loopy fast swing on groundies. I am 13, I am looking for a fairly powerful player's racquet with good maneuverability Minimum weight: 335g maybe the ncode 95 16x18?, Can you recommend me one please.

Depends if you like stiff or flexy racquets...
STIFF:
Wilson nCode 95
Head Radical MP
Prince Diablo Mid
Slazenger X1

FLEXY:
Head Prestige MP
Yonex Ti80

For a stiff-ish racquet my vote would go with the Diablo Mid... its mid-size and powerful, and fairly manouvarable.

Or you could get a Vantage custom to your spec like me :-)

I tried the diablo mid and but I didn't like the feel of it. Would the ncode 95 16x18 have more spin and be more maneuverable.

Theres no reason why the Wilson would have more spin, thats down to strings and technique... but it should be slightly more manouvarable, according to TW, its 5g lighter on swingweight.

If you didn't like the Diablo Mid, you should try the MP, but make sure you weight it because it's fairly light and unstable. The X1 as previously recommended, also has excellent manueverability and plays well from just about anywhere on the court.

fischer pro tour ft (the new one)

volkl tour 8ve

both are extended length frames but are fairly manuverable (still) and for baseline banging they are well suited.

just 2 ideas for ya.

How much can you spend?
some of the above are good suggestions...also consider:
Babolat Aeropro Control
Babolat Pure Control
Head Flexpoint Radical Tour
Head LM Radical Tour
Volkl Tour 10 Gen.2
VANTAGE Custom (vantagetennis.com) : either 95 or 100", 320 g. unstrung, 63 flex....you pick handle shape...

my favorite being the Vantage....they are having a "Free Shipping" sale for the month of June, and there is also a 15% or so discount if you use the prmotion code VAN001 (I think that's right)....so you'd be looking at about 180$ US shipped.

My recommendations would be:

LM Prestige MP (dense pattern, but good head speed ability for spin & flexy)
Volkl T10 (Gen II or VE MP)
or like Monoloquist and BLiND recommended: a nice Vantage custom stick at 320g unstrung, 63 flex.......you pick string pattern, head size, grip, length. Great choice!

While the N6195 is a great racket, it might not be the best for a pure baseliner. I personally love it from the ground but I also come in to the net on all short balls...which is where a super headlight racket like this excels. You might want something only 5 or 6 pts headlight and a bit lighter overall like the Bab PD, Aero Drive, etc. which are obviously very popular and powerful players sticks these days. They won't be quite as manueverable at net at the NC6195 but that's the trade off.

What are you playing now?

RDX500 MP is a great racket as well and it falls under the flexy category

it all comes down to your preference la bomba. check around in the reviews of some racquets and see the power levels, thqat could help. otherwise youll probably want to demo a couple racquets before you make a decision. good luck.

I like my Prestige LM MP with considerable lead tape added to the handle and a little on the head. Good power and spin in a flexible frame. And, it's very comfortable on the arm.

I don't rate the RDX500 MP... the Mid is excellent but not the MP... the Ti80 is much better, and cheaper!

Yes, Vantage is propably the future of buying rackerts. However, i don't like that there's currently only two flex ratings available.

Give them time... if they get enough sales, then they will be able to provide more options... more head sizes, string patterns, flexes... they are still a young company.

yes, i'm sure they will grove and be able to give more options. I see myself playing with a Vantage frame in the future, but currently i'm sticking to other brands. :)

Mono,

Vantage discount code from the Sports Central website is TK01. Gets you the 15%.

By the way...a question for Vantage users....has anyone compared the same spec Vantage racquet in white color versus black? I have 2 100", 16x19, 27.25" long, 63 flex, 11.4 oz. 12 pts headlight unstrung Vantages...one is white and one is black, and although they appear to weigh nearly the same and were ordered with identical specs, they feel pretty different! They are both strung with Laserfibre Supreme 17 @ 58 lbs. But the white one feels a little softer and definitely swings quite a bit lighter (I'd estimate a good 10-15 pts of swingweight different)...it is more manueverable for sure, but it is also less solid. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience, and if there is some explanation for this disparity (maybe something having to do with the different paint processees of white vs. black, or maybe even material disparities?)

La Bomba,
My 13 yr old son uses Head Flexpoint Tour, but he plays about 4 hrs every day. (345-355 g with everything - strings, overgrip, rubberband).

Get as many PC600's as you can and find something else to worry about.
P.S. Don't worry about the Twaron; The Classic Mid will work just fine.

Interesting Mono... because my black racquet has a paint chip, and underneath it, its white... maybe the black ones are painted, and the white are not?
