Regardless of whatever mains I'm using, nothing compares to using this stuff as a cross string unless I use gut (which I don't, because I consider that a huge waste of money to cross with natural gut). However, it's very expensive and while it does have decent durability, I almost always end up cutting out the stringbed before it breaks anyway. I've gone to NRG2 as a substitute, but even then, it's still over 10 bucks a set. Is there a multi or syn gut out there that has the power and feel of either of these, but at a significantly lower price?

Sweet isn't responsive, it's just soft.

Forten Sweet is far from an option.
I use X-One 17 mains and AluRough crosses in my 2 wet weather/cold weather frames - but there is nothing that plays and feels like SuperNatural Gut Prostock, nothing !
As Jolly Roger has stated, sometimes he even felt it was better than VS gut, it's that good a multi.
X-One is a great multi, and in my opinion a bit better than NRG2, but there is still a huge step up to SNGPS.

I really like hollow core pro. Very soft yet crisp hit.

I totally agree. Nice pop sound as well.
