Went to the store to buy some PHT 16 Gauge and they only had 15L. What is this? How is it different to 15 or 17 and whats the L stand for. Can't even find user reviews to see if its any good - hence this post.. is it any good? Thanks

L stands for lite. It is in between 15 and 16. I dont recall the exact diameter but its pretty fat. You will lose the ball bite/playability but in turn it will last forever

difference between 15, 1.43 mm. and 15L, 1.38 mm

still thick stuff - I haven't strung 15 or 15L for anyone in ages

Just because people dont buy it doesnt mean that its not good. People have preferences + its price is a deterrent for most club players, so just go by what your instincts say.

If 16 provides enough durability then no need to go 15L. If you're finding 16 to break to quickly, worth a try

Personally, both the Pro Hurricanes (Regular and Tour) have terrible tension maintenence. Use them if you plan to restring often. Otherwise, watch your shots go high and long and trampoline within 10 hours of play.
